Nokia's 2013 flasghip device is well built and beautifully designed. It runs Windows 8 Mobile and is among the few Windows devices capable of delivering a pleasant and high-end experience. It features several improvements in terms of built and specifications. It features a chassis that is slimmer, lighter, more durable, and even easier to use compared to its predecessor. Competitive specifications aside, the phone's main attraction is its powerful camera capable of producing excellent images even in conditions where lighting is poor. If you want an experience other than iOS and Android, then this smartphone should be on top of your list.

The Nokia Lumia 925: Sleek and Snappy

The first thing you will notice when you see the device is its brilliant design. It is metal-finished, slim, and very clean (not cluttered). Its AMOLED display not only makes viewing from different angles a bliss, it also adds to the device's fine aesthetics. Aluminum buttons that control volume, power/lock, and the camera button are easily accessible and are well placed, keeping the design simple and the appearance minimalistic.

Its 4.5 inch display comes with a ClearBlack filter for reducing outdoor glare and it is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass making it scratch proof. The display also makes sure that Microsoft's graphical design looks great in this treatment, and so do photos, videos, games, and images on Web sites. The entire design of the device is geared towards optimizing the performance of its key feature, its camera.

Mobile Photography at its Core

The handset runs their proprietary PureView algorithm coupled with the Carl Zeiss optics and six physical lenses. It lets you capture amazing images day or night. Another feature is the Smart Camera mode that allows you to create the perfect high quality image. The Smart Camera offers an easy way to take ten shots at once and then edit them afterwards with tools and effects like Best Shot, Action Shot and Motion Focus. All these plus the advanced Carl Zeiss lens technology enables the device to deliver clearer and sharper pictures and video. It also allows you to capture the best pictures in the dark. Thanks to its 2000 mAh battery, running out of juice will not be a problem. Its battery life can last for over a day on normal usage and up to 12 hours with heavy photography and video recording.

A Windows 8 Phone You'll Love

Let's face it, Microsoft's mobile OS isn't the most popular one around. Its app store can barely compete to those of Apple's and Google's Play Store. However, everything is fully integrated in this device and you can personalize almost every component of it, allowing you to finally enjoy the Microsoft mobile OS, something other devices fail at. Pin all your favourite things to your start screen with customisable Live Tiles. The People Hub lets you stay up to date with family and friends, and with Microsoft Office you can create, edit and share documents on the move. You can also enjoy free tunes on MixRadio and navigate to anywhere with HERE Maps. All while capturing some of the most amazing mobile photos.
