The case is well-made overall, with even gaps and no noticeable juts. The stability is decent as well, although we would have preferred the base unit to be a little bit more rigid. As is very common on consumer notebooks, the lid is much more flexible than the base, but we were unable to warp it or witness the infamous ripple effect on the display regardless of force applied to the back of the display. The lid can be opened up to around 150 degrees, and the hinges are solid. The lid can be opened one-handed.
